Power Audio Cutter performs a double task - it cuts and converts between formats your audio files. In addition, it can also be used as an audio extractor for your video files. It supports nearly all popular audio and video formats - as much for the input as for the output - and it allows you to configure the output quality, too.
The program's main window includes all the necessary elements to perform the task, but its visual design is not very attractive. It offers you a built-in media player that allows you to preview and pre-listen to your video and audio source files, respectively. This player provides you with two special controls for you to mark the start and end points - while listening to your source file - that will be used by the cutter function of the program. However, you can also set those values manually, in order to reach much more accurate results. Unfortunately, the program does not support batch processing, and thus you can work only on a single source file at a time.
In the lower half of the main window, you can select the desired output audio format from a list, and - optionally - customize its codec, bit rate, sampling rate, and number of channels. Finally, you will need to set an output folder too, and to press the "Cut" button to start the process. As you can see, this program is extremely easy to use, and it allows you to convert audio files, extract the audio from your video files, and cut both of them, all using the same tool.
